George Mason High School PTSA Attention ALL GMHS PARENTS:
This is NOT just for Senior Parents!!!
Planning for this year's ANGC is underway with a renewed conviction that by providing an alcohol and drug-free celebration, our community keeps our graduates safe, while offering them a wonderful way to celebrate all night with their classmates.
“The two highest risk nights for teens are prom and graduation. Teens attend parties
throughout the year, but peer pressure is highest on those nights. Many students feel
as if they haven’t really celebrated if they haven’t been drinking or using drugs.”
Northern Virginia Project Graduation
As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of volunteers to make this event possible. The ANGC is a successful GMHS tradition because of the commitment of parents, the backing of the schools and local government, and the generous support of our community. Please consider how you might participate: 1. Attend our first meeting on Tuesday, September 14th at 7:30 pm in the GMHS Library. Our monthly meetings are normally the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month. Please check the GMHS PTSA/ANGC website for specific dates/time and location. (http://www.georgemasonptsa.com/All_Night_Grad.html) 2. Volunteer! Volunteers are needed for all committees. We need underclass parents to learn the ropes, so that you’ll be ready when your student is a senior! 3. Respond generously to all of the ANGC Fundraisers this fall. For further information on all of these fundraisers, visit the GMHS website and select the PTSA/ANGC tab.
