THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL 2011 BYRD FEEDER!

The 2nd Annual Byrd Feeder held this past Saturday March 19th was widely attended by "hundreds" of  parents, students, teachers, and strong community supporters. While we are still calculating the final numbers we know we received over $2000.00 at this event. 

THANK YOU to Claire and Don's Beach Shack in Falls Church

The success of both the 1st and 2nd Byrd Feeders could not have been done without the generous support of Clare and Don's Beach Shack. Last year David and Rebecca Tax, owners of Clare and Don's, helped us format the event to be the success it is. They not only provide part of the proceeds from the meals served during the event but they also provide auction items from their own business along with coordinating other donations from their business contacts. We appreciate all that they do for our program and our children.  

We would also like to thank the other businesses who supported our program with their generous donations to the silent auction: Arbonne, Argia's Restaurant, Functional Fitness, Old Dominion Brewery and Red, White and Bleu. We'd also like to thank the GMHS Athletic Department for their generous donations. Special thanks goes to DKG Designs for creating and donating the official Byrd Feeder shirts worn by the GMHS students to promote the event.

And last, thank you to the many media outlets who provided means for us to  promote this event to the Falls Church community: the Falls Church News-Press, the Falls Church Times, Falls Church Patch and Falls Church CommonPlace.
